T. L. Tyner is a queer fantasy author and librarian based in Washington State. By day, she works in libraries helping readers discover the stories they need; by night, she writes epic, character-driven fantasy rooted in folklore, emotional depth, and quiet resilience.

Growing up among misty forests, stormy coastlines, and moss-covered mountains—from the Ho Rainforest to the slopes of Mount Rainier—deeply shaped Tyner’s imaginative landscapes. These environments inspired a lifelong fascination with ancient magic, lost histories, and the strength found in unlikely heroes.

Tyner studied the Humanities before earning a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. Her work centers women’s voices during moments of upheaval, blending political tension, found family, and hope woven through darkness.

When not writing, Tyner can be found tending her garden, sketching characters from her worlds, or playing video games with her partner—often under the supervision of three determined cats.
